My dear friend Edy's granddaughter Jazmine Gardner was diagnoised with Stage four Wilms Tumors three weeks ago. She has been in the Cleveland Clinic for the past three weeks. She has been getting chemotherapy treatments. Jazzy will have to go throught approximatly 37 weekly treatments. In another three weeks she will have surgery in which they will remove as much as possible from her lungs and kidneys. It is possible that part or all of the kidneys may need to be removed. We are not sure how much of the kidneys or lungs will have to be removed or if any transplants will be needed until the surgery. She is in alot of pain in her stomach and legs. We are told it is possible from the heavy chemotherapy for Jazzy to get Leukemia which will be much more difficult to get rid of than the Wilms Tumors. We thinks the tumors are resting possibly on the nerves of the legs .She hurts so bad she doesn't want to walk. Very hard to see this vibrant little girl go from very energetic to lying in bed on morphine and screaming in pain.Very hard on entire family, but we are very close and all of us are helping to be very supportive to Jazzy. We are asking for all of you to keep her in your prayers. We are asking for donations, gifts, and cards to raise her spirits to know she is thought of and LOVED. Edy's daughter Chantel does not have insurance. Jazzy is now covered through Medicaid and the family is trying to get SSI help for her. Any donations are appreciated. Thanks.

Update on Jazzie as of June 2, 2008
Jazmine was diagnoised with Wilms Tumors 11 weeks ago. Since then she has been on heavy chemotherapy treatment and constant blood transfusions have been given. She went through surgery five weeks ago. They removed the tumor the size of an orange and the left kidney it was attached to. They also removed part of the intestines. The tumor had to be removed out of the main artery between both kidneys. She was in surgery over 5 1/2 hours. She is continuing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the next approx. 8 months. They are concerned that if the large tumor on the lungs does not shrink they will have to do surgery to remove it and possibly remove part of the lungs. She has tumors all over the kidneys and lungs. With the treatment, some shrinkage is occuring. But the large tumor that was on the kindney and the one on the lungs are not being effected by the treatments. This is one of the hardest things for a family to go through. You never expect something like this to happen to your family. Especially a beautiful little girl like Jazzy four years old . She is really taking this very well and she is very strong. We ask if you could keep her in your PRAYERS!!!. That is the most important to us!!! We thank all of you who have !!!!!!!!!!!Thank You Edy
And JAZZY, your Nana loves you and is with you always. God be with you and watch over you always!!!
